What is an X_B file?
File created by Parasolid, a program for CAD geometric modeling; contains data such as geometry, topology, and color; designed as a standard exchange format for sharing CAD models; saved in binary format and may be imported or exported by other common CAD programs.

X_B files are used in place of older version XMT_BIN and XMP_BIN files. .X_T files store the same data as X_B files, but in text format.
X_B files are used by the Parasolid standard, Translators, and Bodyshop editions.
